About The Client
Leicestershire Chorale regularly performs large-scale works, and in the last couple of years have performed Handel’s Messiah, Elgar’s Dream of Gerontius, and Verdi’s Requiem. In November 2018, Leicestershire Chorale performed Britten’s War Requiem with the local Bardi Orchestra at Leicester’s De Montfort Hall. These large scale concerts are interspersed with smaller concerts in the best of Leicestershire’s local churches and cathedrals.
The Chorale had a legacy website built with Dreamweaver which needed a visual and technical refresh. They were looking for a website with a Content Management System (CMS) which would enable them to manage the ongoing content updates in-house.
As well as all the run-of-the mill features of any website, the Chorale had some specific feature requirements that they needed to include.
- The ability to manage and display upcoming public concert listings.
- A private members-only content area.
- Private events to notify members of rehearsals and social events.
- The ability to email groups of members from the website.
The client requested post-implementation CMS training and a library of how-to documents to support the content managers. The library is a great resource for reference. Especially for those CMS tasks you don’t perform on a day-to-day basis. This is something we offer in either pdf or video format.
And finally, the Chorale opted to take up our ongoing support package for those all-important CMS updates, plugin updates, and website backups.
